Sam Bevitt is currently studying his Masters degree in Creative Writing: Plays and Screenplays at City University, London. He graduated from the University of Warwick with honors, where he studied Theatre and Performance. Throughout his time at Warwick he taught community theatre, led scriptwriting courses for the local town, held drama workshops for inmates at Swinfen Prison’s Drama Department, performed a month-run comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
His first written show, I’m A Londoner, was performed at the Tristan Bates Theatre, Covent Garden and again at Jackson’s Lane Theatre. He has since been a freelance script supervisor for the National Film and Television School, writing a full-length film script for his Masters and writing a one man comedy show alongside prominent actor Ryan Mathie to take on tour to end up at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
